I loved working for this startup dedicated to reducing harmful plastic straw waste by producing a sustainable, biodegradable alternative - drinking straws made out of real straw! I worked closely with the company founder and I did on-site research with the straw growers in Maine, the owners and customers of our first test market, and numerous product users to craft branding and marketing materials that reflected the unique and environmentally conscious nature of Straw Straws. This experience taught me a tremendous amount about the startup world, the food and beverage industry, and how to brand and market an environmentally-focused product.

For the record, I am sipping a delicious mocktail here at Vena's Fizz House, our first test market in Portland, ME.
